Contact Scott Meredith

I have studied and practiced a large variety of Asian and Western martial arts for over 35 years. I speak fluent Mandarin Chinese and Japanese. I hold a PhD degree from MIT, and worked as a Senior Researcher in Speech Recognition and Artificial Intelligence at IBM, Apple Computer, and Microsoft for over 25 years. I am a long-time student of Tai Chi master Benjamin Lo.  In my teaching of small group and private classes, I attempt to replicate and pass along as much of Ben Lo's superb art as possible. Training in the standard Zheng Manqing 37-posture sequence and push-hands is carefully paced and tailored to students' individual training goals, physical condition, and prior experience. Requests for instruction in advanced push-hands, self-defense applications, and Taiji sword will be considered on a case-by-case basis.  Private lesson tuition: $100 USD / hour.
